Weiss Breaks Through for Bristol Win

April 30, 2022 (Bristol, TN) – After a runner-up finish Friday night, Headingley, Manitoba’s Ricky Weiss led 28 laps in tonight’s World of Outlaws Late Model Series feature event en route to his 3rd career WoO victory. Weiss pushed back multiple charges from sixth place starter Chris Madden in the middle of the race before pulling away to pocket $25,000 on the night.

Race Tidbits:

– Vic Hill was the lone new entrant for the second night of racing at Bristol.

– Ricky Weiss was quickest in time trials once again, making him 2-for-2 as fast qualifier for the weekend.

– Kyle Strickler did not record a qualifying lap after facing mechanical issues.

– Team Zero and Scott Bloomquist elected to not start the feature, citing engine concerns.

– The 30-lap World of Outlaw Late Model Series main event went caution free with 17 of the 20 starters finishing the event.
