ST. LOUIS, MO – Lincoln, IL’s Myles Moos earned the biggest victory of his young career in Friday’s Gateway Dirt Nationals preliminary feature, his first ever triumph inside The Dome at America’s Center.

“Man, this is awesome. I don’t even know what else to say to be honest with you.” said Myles. “Look at this? I mean, look at this? Look at all these people! Let’s go, St. Louis!”

The 28 year old driver led flag-to-flag in the 25-lap prelim en route to the $5,000 payday. The Illinois native was virtually unchallenged the entire race, but runner-up finisher Nick Hoffman kept the eventual winner on his toes in the closing laps. “I kind of screwed up and looked at the (big screen) and I saw Nick, and I was like, ‘Aww, dang it.’ I just had to hold a smooth line because that rut down there was treacherous,” Moos said. “I was just trying to keep a smooth line like I had all night. It’s a race. I just had to picture in my head it was just like a heat race anywhere.”

With his prelim win tonight, Moos locks his #84 Barry Wright Race Cars ICON into tomorrow’s $30,000 to win main event. “We’re here to win this race, just so everybody knows.” he said.
