After rain claimed the Saturday World of Outlaws Late Model Series event at Volusia Speedway Park it left us with a surprise big gator winner. Devin Moran claimed his first big gator DIRTcar Nationals point championship after showing the most consistency all week in the Sunshine State. With a win and a pair of runner up finishes Devin picked up the title at a track he used to not like.
Devin Moran, son of legend Donny Moran, made his voice known at times of struggling at the half mile in Volusia. He even stated earlier this week that he almost didn’t even show up this week. But Devin sure is glad he did now and has changed his mind on how he feels about racing at Volusia. Not only did he pick up his first career gator win at Volusia earlier in the week but showed speed and put up some great finishes. Devin is riding a wave of confidence as his team packs up and heads back to Ohio. He will wait for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to rev back up in March as he runs for the series championship.
