Ricky Thornton Jr wins all season long in about every stock car division you can drive. Ricky the Midwest modified standout won races in his modified, his Stock Car, and had been running well in select late model events. Driving the SSI Motorsports machine, he had some near miss wins in some big Lucas Oil races.
In October it is a yearly tradition for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series invades the Pittsburgh Motor Speedway. It was there that Ricky Thornton Jr picked up his first career Lucas Oil win. The instant success of Ricky Thornton Jr and the SSI team was amazing. The results they put together made them think about the upcoming 2021 season and the two will try to chase the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Rookie of the Year title.
Ricky, full time in a late model ride will be one to watch in the 2021 season.
